This was my very first time ever I have been to an international guitar festival and I didn’t really know what to expect. I knew that there would be guitars and people that would like to buy guitars for themselves but I had no idea what I was about to experience.
I arrived in Dallas at the Market Hall and it was very easy to find a parking spot across the street from the music hall. It surprised me a little because I figured since Dallas is such a big city it would be a little more difficult to find available parking.
When I walked in to the Hall I had to stop for just one second and take it all in. I have had never ever in my life seen so many guitars in one place. No matter where I looked I saw guitars and they were from low priced to very high priced. There were many different stores from all over the USA presenting their inventory and showing what they had. I even saw Andy Timmons walk around looking at the guitars and enjoying himself.
A lot of great artists like Ian Moore, Eric Johnson, Lance Lopez, Jared James Nichols and many more performed on different stages which were set up for this event. Eric Johnson also had an autograph/meet and greet booth set up to say hi to his fans and sign autographs which I think was a great thing for him to do and according to the line waiting to see him, he was pretty popular and this was something the crowd really liked.
One other highlight this festival had was the competition for 2018 Young Guns! Those are amazing kids with unbelievable talent! Anthony “Fallbrook Kid” Cullins who is well known in the southern California area was one of the contestants. It was so much fun to watch all these amazing kids perform, play together on stage and cheer each other on. They literally played their hearts out and put everything into their performances, but like in every contest, there can only be one winner and the one who won this contest was……Anthony “Fallbrook Kid” Cullins!!!! Big congratulations from Backstage360 to one of the most talented young artist I know. He is such an inspiration and it was such a pleasure to watch him and all the other kids.
I must say it was a great experience to see what a guitar show is all about and how much talent there was in one place. I can’t wait for next Year to go to the next show. I absolutely enjoyed it and time flew by way to fast. If you have one of the shows in your area go check it out. Even if you are not a guitar player go and support the young talents and watch the great artist.
