BI·AS is an Alternative Hard Rock / Metal band based out of Huntington Beach, California. The band, featuring drummer David Silveria (Korn), bassist Chris Dorame (Gears, Needlemouth), guitarists Joe Taback (12 Gauge Embrace, Needlemouth) and Mike Martin formed after a worldwide vocalist search lead them to recruit Rich Nguyen (Dimtribe). The band’s diverse musicality is backed by Silveria’s signature groove and neatly wrapped together by captivating vocal melodies.
The debut singles (Pity & Change Your Mind; released January 4, 2019) were met with tremendous fanfare. “Pity”, the edgier track of the two, has helped grow the band’s following exponentially in the United States and abroad. “Change Your Mind”, showcases the band’s softer, melodic side. The two singles were released as a SIDE A / B; a throwback to the 80’s and 90’s single releases.
BI·AS just released a new single called, Hesitation. This is a new band that began their musical journey just over a year ago with their first official live show being last January at 2019 NAMM where they performed at the annual Schecter Guitars party. I asked the guys what does the dot in the middle of name BI·AS mean? They got it from the dictionary. It’s a two syllable word and that how it’s displayed when you look it up.
I looked up BI·AS: Yep, there’s the dot!

They talked about the band’s chemistry and that what they are doing is not necessarily new it’s not current. We are going to see some old school David in this band.
They did some touring in 2019 and just dropped their newest single, called “Hesitation” this month. You can find it on all digital platforms. Best played loud! This a band that intends to do live shows and tours, so get familiar with their music because chances are they are coming to your town.
Bias will be at Brick by Brick in San Diego on Friday May 8th along with Always 2 late, Stockholm Syndrome and Contortion.
