“We’re often inspired by society, incidents that affect us or weird and crazy stuff we are told about. The song “One Time A Year” was inspired by the movie The Purge, where one day every year it is legal to commit any crime. Many people are afraid of this particular day, and those who are less fortunate can not afford to protect themselves from people who commit the worst crimes. We felt this was an interesting theme that we wanted to build on and based our song on and address class and social issues. From the song: ‘We wait for the storm to take us, they wait for dessert’.”

Browsing Collection was founded in 2008 in the deepest forest of Skövde, Sweden, where three young girls, aged 11-15 decided to start a rock band. Out of nowhere they learned how to play instruments, wrote some kick ass-songs and recorded their first Ep, which was the beginning of an epic journey.

Since their formation many members have come and gone, but the message has always remained: Stand up for yourself, don’t trust jerks, stay away from bullshit and save the planet.

With this manifest the band has traveled across Scandinavia, kicking ass in the name of rock n’ roll. They’ve played festivals like Peace & Love, Getaway Rock, Putte i Parken, Siesta!, Metallsvenskan, Malmöfestivalen, Sweden Rock Festival and others. This past summer they hosted a Rock Camp for young girls together with the Sweden Rock Festival which was covered by many of the major national outlets in Sweden.

Browsing Collection’s debut Ep, Don’t Want To Dance is due this winter via a collaborative setup between independent music company Icons Creating Evil Art and the global music distributor Ditto Music. A collaboration allowing Browsing Collection to stay in charge of their own master rights, but at the same time get the backing of two very progressive music companies using their global network of PR, marketing and distribution. The aim is set high here, with external PR teams in place in all major markets.
