BUSH – Live and Our Lady Peace

Our Lady Peace

also known as OLP, a Canadian rock band from Toronto Ontario, started out the night performing some of their well-known songs like “Innocent”, “Somewhere Out There” which is one of my personal favorites and “Starseed”. You can’t help but to immerse yourself into the music and enjoy the moment with the crowd as you prepared for the nights events at the Zoo Amphitheater in Oklahoma City.  The band got the crowd motivated to get off their butt and start having fun. The current members of OLP are Raine Maida (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Duncan Coutts (bass, backing vocals), Steve Mazur ( electric guitar, backing vocals) and Jason Pierce ( drums, percussion).  You can check these guys out at the following web pages to get more info about the band, the music and also tour dates.

Moving on to the second band the sun was starting to go down and it was cooling off a little bit, making it the perfect conditions for a concert. I really like the Zoo Amphitheatre and the way it is laid out with the large lawn area filling most of the Amphitheatre, just perfect for the fans to spread out and have an unforgettable evening. The band Live made their appearance on stage and the crowd cheered instantly and applauded. This is the bands 25th anniversary Year of their album “Throwing Copper” and to honor the album the band has created their first craft beer called “Throwing Copper Ale”. Of course, we heard a lot of the hits from the “Throwing Copper” album and the highlight of the evening was when the lead singer Ed Kowalczyk went into the crowd to sing closer to his fans. Live is a great band and a lot of fun to watch. Let me tell you a little about the band. Live is an American rock band from York, Pennsylvania and the band members are Ed Kowalczyk (Lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass), Chad Taylor (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Chad Gracey (drums).  The album “Throwing Copper” was released in 1994 and it was a huge success worldwide. Believe it or not but this album sold eight million copies. That just shows how great they are, and you defiantly want to find the album on I-tunes, Spotify or other sources to download it. Now it was time for the last band to entertain the audience and just like Live, Bush has been a very successful rock band since the 90’s. Bush is from London, England and the band members are Gavin Rossdale (Lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Robin Goodridge (Drums), Chris Traynor (Lead guitar) and Corey Britz (Bass, backing vocals). The band was nominated and won several awards. One of the winning awards was the MTV Movie Award for the best song from a movie award, which was “Machinehead” which they started tonight’s show with. Another remarkable fact is that Bush also celebrates the 25th anniversary of an album. Their album is called “Sixteen Stone”. We heard some of the biggest hits of the album like “Machinehead”, “Everything Zen”, “Little Things”, Glycerine” and “Comedown”.  Another great song the band played was “Bullet Holes” and if you are a John Wick fan and you have watched Chapter 3 – Parabellum, then you have heard the song because this one is playing in the movie. Tonight we had a lot of talent and great entertainment. It felt very special because we were part of a special tour celebrating 25 Years of Lives and Bushes albums. That just shows that great music will live on forever.
