CAGE took the stage on May 6 at Brick by Brick like they owned it and attacked their set list like fire blazing through a paper factory to overwhelming crowd appreciation. Normally, I try to go thru the songs and give insight into how they make the listener feel. This was easy for me I started with the first song “Shoot to Kill” and didn’t stop until “Wings of Destruction”. Maybe I need to clarify, First song to Last song I was in Heavy Metal Bliss. Front man Sean Peck’s vocals were more than amazing and I believe he was fighting a cold. I saw head bangers shaking their heads as if they were unhinged from the neck. Sean stared at the crowd and made people believe that they had arrived to witness the actual Birth of Metal. Sean’s Vocal range is outrageous and along with the very talented musicians that make up CAGE represents Heavy Metal at its finest.
But what made this show so remarkable, what finally allowed the music and the venue to complement one another, is the direction the members of CAGE seemed to be going with their great material and great stage presence. CAGE ran through six songs, all of which were characteristically perfect. The songs from beginning to end were well written and thought out. The Band consists of Sean Peck (Vocals), David Garcia (Guitar), Casey Trask (Guitar), Sean Elg (Drums) and Alex Pickard (Bass). This is the Total Heavy Metal package just waiting to be mailed to the general population. I would not hesitate to buy whatever CAGE puts out, you won’t be disappointed. Support this band and show the world what they are all missing.
