First off, we want to thank Mr. Brian Tichy for putting this amazing show together and for inviting Backstage360 to cover this event.
Let’s start out with the amazing house band that Brian puts together every year. It is comprised of Dewey Bragg on vocals, Rudy Sarzo on Bass, Steve Fariazzo on Keys, Phil Soussan, (also on Bass) and Brian Tichy on Drums. There are also several amazing guitar monsters that were featured to play Randy’s amazing parts. How would you like to have a band with the following on guitar; Doug Aldrich, ( Whitesnake) Michael Angelo Batio, (Nitro) Nick Bowcott, (Grim Reaper) Ritchie Faulkner ( Judas Preist) Bill Hudson, (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) Mike Orlando, (Adrenaline Mob) Rowan Robertson, (Dio) Marzi Montazeri, (Heavy As Texas) Janet Robin (One of Randy’s Students) &, Monte Pitman (Madonna). Rounding out the cast was Roy Z-Halford, Dean Castronova, Chas West, Neil Turbin and Randy’s brother Kelle and sister Kathy.
This is a true all-star lineup folks to be in the company of for sure. The program consisted of the two incredible albums, “Diary of a Madman” and “Blizzard of Oz” which happens to be my personal favorite of all time. To witness this music played and sung to perfection by this all-star was sheer magic. Randy was a genius guitar player and writer that inspired an entire generation of shredders that followed and this was their way of paying tribute to their idol.
BackStage360 would also like to thank The Yost Theater, our Host for the evening and a Special Thank You to Mr. Eddie Trunk, (That Metal Show) who was the MC of the event.
This show may even come to a town near you this year. That’s the rumor, so stay tuned to Backstage360 for more info on subsequent shows. Folks this is a once in a lifetime event a must see a bucket list for sure. RocmanRocks plans on doing this event every year that they do this. If you are a fan of Ozzy and Randy see it reincarnated to absolute perfection by Randy’s friends to perfection.
