Chickenbone Slim is an original Blues/American international touring artist based in San Diego, California. Signed in 2021 to blues label Vizztone Records, Chickenbone garnered wide attention with his release Serve It To Me Hot, which reached #4 on the Living Blues Charts and won  “Best Jazz/Blues Recording” at the 2022 San Diego Music Awards.

By mixing Texas, Chicago and Excelo blues styles with Roots Rock, Swing and Americana, Chickenbone has a unique sound, with a strong catalogue of original music. His newest album Damn Good and Ready was recorded during the “bomb cyclone” rain in Northern California at Greaseland Studios. Mixed and mastered by the renowned Kid Anderson, Damn Good and Ready features twelve new original songs. The first single “Rock and Roll Soul” dropped July 26th, and the album was released August 2nd, 2023. The Biscuits are a four-piece band featuring Laura Chavez (Candy Kane, Vanessa Collier), the 2023 winner for Best Blues Guitarist at the Blues Music Awards (nominated five times); Marty Dodson (Kim Wilson, Mark Hummel) on drums; and twenty-one year old prodigy, Justice Guevera on bass, with Chickenbone on guitar and vocals.
