“All of these things together are helping grow the brand and my music streams,’ says Jones, who enjoyed some chart action last year with his catchy single, “Woman I Love” (listen here). Presently, Jones has over thirty songs out on all of the streaming platforms, getting over ten thousand monthly streams on Pandora.
“I play several instruments including guitar, piano, drums, organ, bass, etc., says Davey. “Unless otherwise noted on the release, I play all of the instrumentation on my songs. Jones began playing music at a young age in church and various bands, winning ‘Most Talented Musician’ honors in his senior year of high school in the state of Louisiana. Presently, Jones performs at various venues throughout the South.
“My musical influences include oldies, classic rock, blues, and country,” says Jones. “Several people have told me that my music is a mix of Tab Benoit and Delbert McClinton. Although I’m a blues artist, you can definitely hear country and classic rock influences in my playing,” says the Hattiesburg, MS native. I was born and live right outside of Hattiesburg, “Hattiesburg is the place where the first rock and roll lick was ever recorded — the birthplace of rock and roll,” Jones adds.
