This fall, Yoakam received the prestigious President’s Award at the 67th annual BMI Country Awards, which celebrates songwriters for their outstanding and influential work in the entertainment industry. The evening took place at BMI’s Nashville Office where he was honored by special performances from The HighwomenBob Weir and Margo Price, amongst others.

Yoakam launched his very own SiriusXM channel, Dwight Yoakam & The Bakersfield Beat, in April 2018.
