Canadian Rocker Harry Hess has teamed up again with famed Swedish producer Daniel Flores in the sophomore album out from the band rock band First Signal . The follow up album to the successful first release underscores the Melodic Rock that First Signal is known for, with a return to Harry’s Hard Rock roots in a few select tracks.
“One Step Over The Line” starts off with powerful synths and steady rock beats in “Love Run Free” forging the melodic feel of the entire album within a few minutes. The rock-remedies don’t stop there! All your musical ailments can be treated with the prescription that follows:
Hess has penned a successful musical adaptation of the 5 stages of grief in the next few tracks. Taking you through a lyrical and musical journey from denial to acceptance, as we follow a troubled relationship accented with powerful solos, Harry Hess’ powerful chord progressions followed with poignant key changes effectively evoke an emotional roller coaster.
Enough about the feelings, the guitar work is flawless! Harry’s fingers glide up and down the fret-board with ease as he lays down solo’s that compliment, and even echo, the chorus lines. You might even catch yourself expecting to hear words come from the guitar lines, until you realize it’s not his voice…it’s his hands!
Swedish rocker Michael Palace, of Palace, joins Harry Hess and Daniel Flores on the album providing a solid rock bass-line throughout the album, offering up additional guitar sounds as well.
