90’s Rock/Grunge enthusiasts were in heaven tonight as they were waiting for the premier Foo Fighters tribute band The Fooz Fighters to take stage. This show had all the crowds anxiety levels lifted, much like being at the Foo Fighters Wembley Stadium Concert because of the head lining act being non-other than Led Zepagain.
Seeing FOOZ FIGHTERS live is as close as you will get to the real thing. From the primal screams and soothing low tenor vocals of Dave Grohl to the vicious drum attack of Taylor Hawkins, FOOZ FIGHTERS deliver an accurate reproduction of the Foo Fighters concert performances. This is about the fifth Fooz Fighter show I have seen and it just keeps getting better and better. You can tell that the members love what they are doing and have put many hours into their craft to give us the best live show possible. The show started with the Mega Hit “Everlong” and flows right into 1997’s other Mega hit “Monkey Wrench”. The crowd were pumping their fist in the air and hanging on every lyric that Nicky was delivering to their awaiting ears. The band played Hit after Hit, from 1999’s “Learn to fly”, 2007’s “The Pretender”, 2014’s “Congregation”; we just covered a 15 year span in three songs. The energy of the crowd was breathtaking and the HOB sound system was kicking out the low end like an 80’s dance hall. You not only saw the band perform your favorite Foo Fighter songs, you felt every beat, which sparked adrenal glands throughout the entire venue. The crowds thirst for more music was unquenchable and infectious. The songs kept flowing from “My Hero” which had the loudest sing along I’ve heard in a long time to hard driving songs like 2002’s “All My Life” and “Times like these”. The final song kind of crept up on you because the night felt like a never ending party of phenomenal music. But if you have to close out a show, leave the crowd wanting more by playing another Hard hitting favorite, 2005’s “Best of you”. Now that the crowd is in a feeding frenzy, the band can leave the stage knowing that they were the highlight of many audience members night and can gladly pass the torch knowing that they did their job to prep the crowd for the headliner.
You don’t realize how many hits there are in the Foo Fighters catalog until you realize that by the end of the night you just sang ever song the band performed without any thought as to how you could possibly have known all those choruses. This was an Epic Night of great music by a band that I can’t wait to see again.
