Foxtrax “The Cabin”

Formed in early 2015 and armed with very audacious goals to Headline the pyramid stage at the Glastonbury Festival in England and Madison Square Garden in NYC, these indie Alternative Pop upstarts from Long Island, now based in LA, are about to take the Alternative World by Storm. The first thing you notice is how they seem to feel like they’ve been gigging for years yet have been together for a relatively short time. The band rented a cabin in the woods of North Carolina in early 2015 and spent six weeks writing and recording demos for what would become “The Cabin” EP. While taking long hikes through the woods the band mates gained inspiration for the record. While in the woods the trio would follow the tracks in the snow left by foxes. These tracks would lead them on a journey to previously unexplored parts of the forest and serve as inspiration for the album. Little did they know, but this was the beginning of their musical adventure. Foxtrax became the band’s moniker. The songs all have a very strong pop feel to them and at times are very infectious and will have you singing along. Ben’s vocals were very pleasant and enjoyable. You really just need to sit back listen and relax. The mix of the album feels very polished and fresh. The alternative community have a very promising and strong contender in Foxtrax and should add them to their music catalog. Personally, my favorite song on the EP was the track “I’ll be Back for you”, I loved the feel of the song and it made me feel happy. That is what music is all about, make you feel something, anything and this album does just that.
