Fontainebleau Miami Beach today announced that it will celebrate the legacy of Frank Sinatra and his upcoming centennial birthday with 100 days of unique programming. The 100 day countdown to Sinatra’s 100th birthday officially kicks off September 2, 2015, with Fontainebleau paying tribute to an American treasure throughout the iconic hotel. Activations include a never-before-seen photo exhibit curated by 1966 Americas featuring fine art prints, VIP events and special experiences.
The legendary singer often performed to packed houses at Fontainebleau’s La Ronde nightclub, vacationed at the hotel and even filmed the beloved movies, A Hole in the Head, Tony Rome, and Lady in Cement on-property. Additionally, Sinatra broadcasted The Frank Sinatra Timex Show, ‘Welcome Home Elvis’, at the landmark hotel. Guests and visitors alike will have the opportunity to embrace a piece of Golden Era glamour with the authentic collection of offerings and events.
“Frank Sinatra represents a very special time in Fontainebleau’s history, and we look forward to celebrating his life and the legacy he left behind,” said Philip Goldfarb, President and Chief Operating Officer at Fontainebleau Miami Beach. “Fontainebleau’s celebration will take place property-wide, offering guests the unique opportunity to experience his music, his passions and his style in a completely modern way.”
Fontainebleau will debut a unique and exclusive photo exhibit curated by the Sinatra family and 1966 Americas, featuring personal and historic images of Frank including a selection from world famous photographer Terry O’Neill.
On September 2, Fontainebleau will kick off a nightly toast at the legendary Bleau Bar. Each evening, guests will be invited to enjoy a sample of Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select whiskey as they toast to Sinatra’s upcoming birthday. Additionally, the hotel will also debut unique in-room amenities and packages inspired by Ol’ Blue Eyes, while the signature restaurants will pay homage to Sinatra’s favorite meals at Fontainebleau including throwback, 1950’s-inspired ‘Brunch with Frank’ menus, cocktails and intimate dinners.
For guests who want to ‘Live Like Frank’, the hotel will offer a Sinatra-inspired package for $1,915, commemorating the year Frank was born. The package will include a two- night stay in a junior suite or above, a vintage Fontainebleau canvas bag, a Fontainebleau Luxury Art Book, one bottle of Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select, daily breakfast for two, two 50-minute ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ massages at Lapis Spa, a $250 credit for dinner for two at one of four signature restaurants and the ‘Ultimate Sinatra’ CD featuring the singer’s greatest hits.
The 100 day countdown culminates with a performance honoring Sinatra’s legacy. The performance act will be announced at a later date.
