Today, Insomniac announced more than 30 additional artists, from old-school legends to fresh new faces, for this year’s 20(th) anniversary celebration of Nocturnal Wonderland. Spanning three days for the very first time, attendees can fully immerse themselves in North America’s longest running dance music festival where they will see performances from more than 100 amazing DJs. This year, the Nocturnal Wonderland camping grounds have tripled in size, completely surrounded by the astounding greenery and natural beauty of the property’s vast lakes. Taking place over Labor Day weekend, September 4 – 6, Nocturnal Wonderland at San Manuel Amphitheater & Grounds will become a beautifully dark landscape complete with whimsical art, stunning production, curious theatrical performers and spectacular surprises for fans to explore.
“Nocturnal Wonderland’s 20th Anniversary isn’t just a milestone for us, but a milestone for dance music in Southern California,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “We’ve got a legendary lineup and a brand new camping experience prepared. I can’t wait to take this incredible journey with our Headliners and celebrate our history together.”
The fully activated camping grounds will bring new day and night entertainment throughout the weekend, including surprise top tier artists performing at the moonlit Nocturnal pre-party as well as the fan favorite Silent Disco. Guests that participate in the camping experience will also have access to exclusive entertainment including the massive water park on warm afternoons, morning yoga sessions, interactive art installations lining the lakes, crafts and movies under the stars, all beginning a day before the festival.
New this year is the addition of creative camping options for every guest’s preference. The Owl’s Nest comes with a fully furnished safari style tent, memory foam beds for two and additional luxuries such as bath products, fans, and a mini fridge for the ultimate glamping experience. For those that prefer a casual camping atmosphere, the Nocturnal 20(th) Anniversary Tents will offer custom pre-built branded gear for 1-2 people, with specially designed sleeping necessities that fans can keep after the festival. There will also be General Admission camping options, available for personal tents, cars and RVs.
As campers and fans enter the festival grounds, they will be treated to performances from the more than 30 new artists added to the festival lineup, all performing at The Upside-Down Room and The Temple of Om stages. These artists represent the best up and coming talent in the dance scene and also include legendary DJs that performed at the very first Nocturnal Wonderland in 1995. The Temple of Om will dive deep into the roots of the original rave scene, boasting an entire night of Old-School classic sets on the last day of the event.
