On the Road with Jack Russell’s Great White. Jack talks about changes in the Music Business, his upcoming book and plans for a new album.

Rocman got a chance to see his friend, the great Jack Russell of Great White recently. We had a chance to sit down for 20 minutes before the show and discuss several things but most importantly, his new music coming out very soon.

I have to be honest, I didn’t think that this was ever going to happen again but Jack has put together a new band and re-created his own version of Great White. (Jack Russell’s Great White) It shouldn’t come as any surprise that the new band sounds incredible! They played a few of the new songs that night at RAMONA MAIN STAGE AND BLEW ME AND THE CROWD AWAY. Along with all the classic GREAT WHITE hits the show was amazing and electric. Jack’s performance was as always, great. He is one of the best front-men ever. His voice is in great shape and, his stage persona is still there. The band played non stop for over an hour with 2 encores to boot. The addition of Robby Lochner on guitar has had a big influence on Jack as a writing partner and solid influence on the new music as well. It was also gratifying to see veteran guitar slinger Tony Montana back in the fold again. The band was solid and,kicked some serious ass.

Jack was in great spirits when I interviewed him and he’s excited for the future and the release of a new album in 2016. In addition, he has a new book coming out as well. Jack now seems very much at ease with where things are, not only in his life, but at this point of his legendary career.

As a huge fan of GREAT WHITE I was stoked to see Jack kicking ass again with some new music and all his classic hits. When I left the club that night I was thinking that I couldn’t wait to see and hear them again. If your a fan of Jack’s, support his new direction and new band. You won’t be disappointed one bit.
