2016 has become a very good year for new album releases. Jaded Heart looks to add to that number of great album releases this year with their current album “Guilty by Design”. Jaded Heart is a German band whose roster consist of Johan Fahlberg on vocals, Peter Östros and Masahiro Eto on guitars, Michael Müller on bass and Bodo Stricker on drums. The album’s opener is a hard hitting song that goes by the name “No Reason” which is sure to go over well live. The heavy notes of “Godforsaken” are quick reminders to us of why we love this bands material. “Seven Gates of Hell” opens with some great vocal melodies and keeps drawing the listener into the heavy groove of the song. The slower song “Remembering” is next which allows for us to take a breather. Get ready for “Rescue Me” which basically blazes with its fast paced guitars and killer vocals. This song warms you up for the track “Salvation” which promotes head banging in the beginning of the song. “No Waiting for Tomorrow” is another eccentric composition full of energy and the album carries on from there delivering one hard rock anthem after another.
This group of talented musicians know their craft, and play every track with fierceness as they consistently rock. The songs are all exactly what we have come to expect. Heavy and melodic, great vocals, musicianship and catchy hooks, and yet again, all of the tracks are pretty much rockers. As good as it is, the album just gets better with each spin of the disc. Pick this one up. It won’t leave your player anytime soon.
