KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD
I must admit when I first heard Kenny Wayne was opening for Van Halen I was a little perplexed. But his set was electric and on point. The blues were alive that night and it was a perfect segue to Van Halen who was headlining the evening. I didn’t think the die hard fans of Van Halen would be into Kenny Wayne but his performance was rocking.
His tribute to BB King was amazing and his playing was spot on and BB would have been proud of him.
All my concerns about Kenny Wayne opening for arena rock icons like Van Halen was nothing like I thought it would be. If you get the chance to catch Kenny Wayne on tour this summer with Van Halen take the opportunity and do it.
