Leona X and her band were getting ready to play at the famous Whiskey on a Friday night in Hollywood. They were performing for Eddie Trunks That Metal Show and what a show it was. BackStage360 was fortunate to be able to sit down with Leona prior to the show and discussed her Influences, her music, Jaggedy Ann and her newest baby……………”Leona X Band.” We certainly were appreciative of how humble and gracious she was with her time which was just prior to her going on stage.
You might remember Leona as the lead guitar player for thee all Girl Band “JAGGEDY ANN” with their hits ” SHOT OF GASOLINE” , “OVERDOSE” , AND “BOILING POINT” as well as several others. This time Leona hits the stage with a new power trio made up of some of Las Vegas best musicians. Her newest solo project and band deliver Raunchy in your face Rock N’ Roll hard,and driving. Non stop energy has always been Leona’s mantra and, this night was no different. Her powerful vocals and songwriting skills as well as her vicious guitar licks were evident and, on display for all to see at this amazing show.
