It’s Labor Day Weekend already! There are still summer concerts and movies scheduled this month, but it is definitely winding down. The Vista Rod Run is Sunday 9/1 and it’s the last month for Cruisin’ Grand in Escondido. The Miramar Air Show and Restaurant Week are this month, plus art shows, car shows and a whole bunch of festivals including the Viking Festival in Vista, plus Oktoberfest is starting. Village Tap Roots in Fallbrook has been added. The Pumpkin Patch at Bates Nut Farm opens 9/19. The first day of autumn is 9/22 and next month it’s scary Halloween!

💚There is a time in late September when the leaves are still green and the days are still warm, but somehow you know that it is all about to end, as if summer was holding its breath, and when it lets it out again, it would be autumn. Sharyn McCrumb, contemporary American author
🍷Wine is the divine juice of September. Voltaire, 18th century French author and philosopher
