Known for hit rock songs with a sophisticated North African/Middle Eastern vibe, the band RA is back with a new single and video. Their first since 2015.
“Intercorrupted” the latest from the band, dropped October 29, 2020.
Founded in 1996, in 2000 the band self released their first EP “One” to critical acclaim only to re-record and repackage it as From One in 2002. From One proved to be the bands breakout album spawning hits: “Do You Call My Name” and “Rectifier.”
The follow-up to From One, 2005’s Duality, brought another hit for RA with the song “Fallen Angels” which climbed to No. 29 on the Billboard Mainstream Charts. Duality also saw RA’s version of the Police’s Hit “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” gain traction approaching 1.5 million streams on Spotify as of this writing.
2008’s Black Sun saw the band enjoying success yet again with the FM friendly single “Broken Hearted Soul.”
RA released music through 2015 going mostly silent after that.
On June 10, 2020, RA reposted an article on their Facebook page detailing their signing with Wake Up! Music Rocks and return to the studio to record their next album. RA is heavy, exotic (at times) with a sound that any metal lover can wrap their head around.
Presale of their upcoming album begins Feb 1, 2021 with the album hitting the streets March 19, 2021.
