All aboard…for the Six String’s Society’s 2nd annual Haunted Halloween Cruise! How do San Diegan’s celebrate this haunted holiday? Well, on a boat! On the water! Of course! Is there any other way to haunt in San Diego?
Launch date, is Saturday, October 12, 2019. Boarding on the gorgeous, historic sternwheeler, William D. Evans, whom calls the Bahia Hotel and Mission Bay its anchorage. There is plenty of free parking at the hotel and it is just a short walk…. to the plank. Permission to board begins at 5 pm, for VIP dinner ghosts and 6:30 pm for general admission ghouls. At 7 pm, the haunted hull, will set forth to gallivant the briny deep but peaceful waters of Mission Bay.
VIP ghosts will spend 90-minutes feasting upon an unearthly buffet of tricks and treats whilst being serenaded to by lyrical spirits and specters. Afterward the feast they are welcomed to creep around the decks with their boo-zy libations to enjoy the sunset, haunt the dance floors and listen to the chants coming from the salons and upper observatory.
Once this magnificent, floating haunted hotel, has received its fill of the undead, the macabre, the creepy, the mysterious and spooky, it will glide into the bay for 4 hours of frightening fun. For those 21 and up! Our young haunters will have to sit this one out.
Rocking the boat during this 4-hour jaunt will be six of San Diego’s biggest and best in musical talent and entertainment. The whacky and the weird are invited to swing and sway the night away to the sounds of:
The (un)lively Latin beats of the Sleep Walkers (how can not have the Sleep Walkers on a haunted cruise?)
San Diego’s long standing musical ensemble, the famous (or is it infamous), The (Beat) Farmers.
Blues Performer of the Year, the magical Ms. Casey Hensley accompanied by bewitching guitarist, Laura Chavez.
The funkadelic, psychedelic and oh so dance-adelic, The Routine.
San Diego Music Award Best World Album winner’s multi-genre, multi-talented, Marujah.
And we have to be aware of safety, especially on a haunted waters in San Diego…so we have to include none other than…
Safety Orange! Rock til you drop (like a zombie) to San Diego’s beach rock and reggae!
Ticket prices range from $42 for general ghouls, $90 for VIP ghosts and $950 for a VIP table for 11. Tickets can be purchased simply by clicking the link below!
