The Struts hit the stage right on time and from the outset it was apparent that this band was the real deal. I for one had never seen this band live but had heard their single “IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME” and their latest one “KISS THIS” from their new album EVERYBODY WANTS. What I wasn’t expecting was the the amazing energy between the crowd and the band. Of course the crowd was made up of mostly younger followers that knew every word to all their songs and all sang along with the band. What I liked mostly about their show was their Showmanship and their utter professionalism. Of course the songs and the performance were impeccable as well.
All of the members of the band, lead singer, Luke Spillar, guitarist Adam Slack, bassist Jed Elliott and Drummer Gethin Daviesare in fact great musicians and artists in their own right, but it was the collaboration on stage the intrigued me the most. For the most part, a lot of the newer bands that I get to see basically look like they are loitering on stage looking at their shoes. This wasn’t the case when THE STRUTS hit the stage. They captured the audience’s attention immediately and kept all of us there throughout the entire performance.
I will say this, it won’t be the last time I see this band in concert. The songs are catchy but still have balls when they need to. They have a new fan for sure as Rocman will be keeping an eye on this bands career.
They are currently touring America right now and I believe this you need to see this band live for sure. If you enjoy a show with your music, they are a must see. Luke Spiller is legit and it’sis evident that he enjoys what he’s doing.
You can check them out on their website
Stay tuned to Backstage360 for more info on this great Band.
