“Generation Me” is the third full length album from British hard rockers “The Treatment”. I imagine these guys are a must see live; all the songs are injected with Monstrous Guitar Riffs and memorable choruses which are what great songs are made of. The album was produced by UK rock maestro Laurie Mansworth, mixed by Tony Newton (Iron Maiden, British Lion) and mastered by Ade Emsley, New members Mitchell Emms (vocals) and Tao Grey (guitar) fit “The Treatment” perfectly: impetuous, confident and boasting bundles of energy. The duo is a welcomed addition and should be able to help take the band to the next level.
All the songs Rock hard. The first four songs ‘Let it Begin’, ‘The Devil’, ‘Tell us the Truth’ and ‘Generation Me’ are Hard Rockers. The song ‘Backseat Heartbeat’ slows the tempo but is still a solid song. Then the album kicks back into High Gear with ‘Cry Tough’ and ‘We are Beautiful’. ‘I know she Knows’ starts to play and you immediately notice it isn’t as strong as the previous songs. And then it happens, you turn your volume to Eleven to hear my Editors favorite guitar riff on the album and it comes from the song ‘Bloodsucker’. The album finishes with ‘Better Think Again’ and ‘Light the Sun’ which were decent songs but lacked the energy from the first seven songs on the album.
“Generation Me” is melodic hard rock and a very catchy version, too! It’s more like AC/DC than Judas Priest, but it sounds more modern. The music isn’t unique in any new way, but their sound has something that will appeal to your Rock ‘n’ Roll heart. They have a great sound and deserve a listen by anyone who loves good Rock. I wouldn’t hesitate on buying this great album.
