TuneCore, the leading digital music distribution and publishing administration provider, today announced the acquisition of JustGo and the launch of TuneCore Social, an all-in-one social media management and analytics tool for musicians that is free to use for all of its distribution customers in the U.S., Canada, UK and Australia markets. As part of the acquisition, JustGo’s Founder and CEO, Justin Golshir joined the company to lead the integration and help expand TuneCore’s artist services product offering. The addition of this product furthers TuneCore’s commitment to provide artists with the resources needed to grow their careers and get their music heard by more people around the world.
In a recent survey of TuneCore distribution customers, the company found that a majority of its artists were less than satisfied with their own current social media capabilities. TuneCore Social addresses the high use and importance of social media for artists by helping streamline their digital presence into one easy-to-use hub, allowing them to better connect with their current fans, as well as gain new ones.
“We talk to our customers every day so we can learn exactly what they want and need to be successful as independent artists,” says Scott Ackerman, CEO of TuneCore. “We know that social media is integral in helping our artists reach a wider audience, so acquiring JustGo was a natural fit. Offering this all-in-one management platform is a testament to our commitment to supporting our artists and helping them thrive in this ever-changing industry.”
TuneCore is the first and only digital music distribution provider to offer such a comprehensive suite of social media management tools for artists. With TuneCore Social, artists will now have the ability to manage their entire social media presence within the TuneCore platform. TuneCore Social is integrated with major social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SoundCloud, YouTube and Mixcloud. TuneCore distribution customers will be able to post to their audiences across multiple networks simultaneously, as well as schedule posts in advance, which is extremely important for artists who are busy touring or recording. TuneCore Social also aggregates valuable analytics across the various social networks providing artists with unique insight about their content and digital audiences. TuneCore will continue to grow and develop the service, with plans to roll out additional features in the near future.
“With JustGo our mission has always been to help emerging musicians grow their fan base and get their music heard around the world,” says Justin Golshir. “TuneCore strives to do exactly that through its vast portfolio of artist services and together we can achieve that shared mission on a much larger scale now with TuneCore Social.”
