I haven’t covered a show in well over a year during this Covid Outbreak. Let me say that it was a treat to see live music again. We would like to thank Viva Santana, Pala Casino and it’s Staff for having us as their guests which is always a treat.

As a fan of Santana whom I’ve have seen many many times over the years starting in 1969 this tribute was spot on. It brought back so many memories of this great band. Now let us talk about this great band Viva Santana.

Viva is the original Santana tribute act originating in 1990 in Southern California. The music of Santana has inspired each player to pour heart and soul into every performance and become a link to the master himself. Carlos Santana and his innovative sounds have finally reached the forefront of rock where they belong.

Marcos Rodriguez is the star of this band playing all of Carlos Santana’s guitar licks to perfection . The lead Singer Sedge Santini sings all the classic Santana songs flawlessly as well as percussion. Bass player extraordinaire Colin DaSousa holds the bottom down along with Drummer Cobbana on the skins. Percussion players Rolando Garcia and, Robin Jones round out that classic Santana rhythm. Keyboardist Juan DeLa Sala brings it all together with his vocals.

If you are a friend of Santana’s music this is a must see show. This band captures the vibe and the power that is Santana.

Set list included  ” Black Magic Woman”, O’Ya Como Va”,  “Soul Sacrifice”, ” Evil Ways”,” Hanibal” , “Smooth” and many many more classic Santana Hits.

I had wanted to cover this band for years as they were one of the only band’s that were featured on AxisTv as one of the top tribute bands in the world. Get out there and experience the essence of Santana captured by this amazing ensemble of monster musicians.
