Waves Audio, Ltd., is an international mixing and mastering hardware and software development company specializing in digital tools and plug-ins for music and film producers, sound engineers, live recording and post-production editing. Founded in 1992, its American facility is located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
During our visit to the Waves booth, we were treated to a 50-minute demonstration lead by none other than the rock star behind the rock stars, the Dean of record production and sound engineers, Edwin (Eddie) Kramer.
Mr. Kramer is the quintessential sound engineer whose career has spanned over 60 years in the music and recording industry. Over the decades he has collaborated on hundreds of musical productions for countless musicians and artists, many of which have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .
